God saved me

October 29, 2004 by Dmitry

Today doctors discovered that it was not chickenpox that hit me on September — it was some sort of viral hemorrhagic fever with kidney failure. Luckily, I almost recovered, while 5 of 100 people dies of this fever.

The virus is carried in rodent reservoirs, so I wonder if it was my computer mouse who infected me  Anyway, now I try to use touchpad instead of mouse since I bought a laptop to code BlogJet while lying in bed. The new version — BlogJet 1.2 beta — will be available this or next week.

Wow. I never expected Green Day would put out an album as great as this. I've been listening to it practically non-stop for three days.

Wow x 2. I never expected Nick likes Green Day too . Didn’t I said that I was the creator of the most popular Russian websites about Green Day a few years ago?

Changing accounts with ActiveWords, News

October 1, 2004 by Dmitry

Buzz Bruggeman shows how to write a simple script for ActiveWords to switch accounts in BlogJet: read here.

Other news: I’m feeling much better now and continue coding the next version of BlogJet which, probably, will be available in the late October. I made a lot of promises about that version, so that it takes a lot of time to implement all the planned features:

  • Extended entries.
  • Excerpt and keywords.
  • Trackbacks.
  • Manual setting of post date/time.
  • Easier account switching.
  • Typograhic characters.
  • Image resizing and thumbnails (not yet completed).

After BlogJet 1.2 release I want to have shorter release cycles, and one here’s the first step: I won’t make promises any more . In other words, I’ll apply Mouth Wide Shut policy by Joel Spolsky.
