Release notes:
- Encryption for journals (AES-128).
- Importer now reports the number of imported journals and entries.
- Updated Sparkle (updater) framework.
- Updated crash reporter UI.
- Fixed crash.
IMPORTANT: This is a beta release intended for testing purposes only. Do not try it with your real journals, or at least, make backup copies of your journals!
Update: Please download the newest beta.
We ask testers to try out the encryption functionality. Please report bugs to our forum or using our helpdesk. Thank you!

No problems so far. Encrypted existing file, saved, checked with hex editor, reopened with Memoires, verified data.
Good job.
Mine didn’t work :( It corrupted my file.
I selected Encrypt, entered a password. I think then I made the mistake of doing the same thing over again! I am guessing that it encrypted the file twice.
When I open the file, it says the format is corrupted. It’s the right password, because I get “wrong password”-errors when I enter another one.
Unfortunately I only exported to RTF, not realizing there is no import back in.. please give me a way to uncrypt my file or I have to copy & paste the entire diary back into it :-/
Bleicke:
Ah, I’m sorry for you. I said, only try it if you have a backup copy of your journal… Anyway, I’ll try to do something for your tomorrow to decrypt your twice-encrypted journal.
Thanks for catching the bug!
