I've been looking for a decent blogging client for Mac OS X for a while now, and while I still haven't found a great one, I'm giving MarsEdit from Ranchero a try to see how well it works against dasBlog.
The biggest problem I have with this is that it doesn't support a WYSIWYG interface, just a text pad where I can enter HTML. The real question if course is if it works correctly with the BloggerAPI for dasBlog.
I still haven't found anything that works quite as well as BlogJet for Windows does. That's a great program and I really wish that it had been ported for the Mac (or that I had a smaller Windows laptop).

According to the article headline Russians Use Affiliate Model To Spread Spyware, Adware [an article @ Yahoo] realizing the extent of the spyware and adware problem and knowing Russian developers I find the title a bit misleading. Imagine the reaction from US developers if the headline read - Americans Using Affiliate Model etc… a little irresponsible of TechWeb if you ask me. The practice is very alarming and something the world should know about but the title is misleading.
Thanks, Sharon!
Heh, it’s like watching Hollywood movies about Russian mafia. Ten years ago most bad guys for movies came either from Russia or from Japanese. (Today, of course, they’re either Siths or agents Smiths).
My opinion: the author of this article just tries to find an enemy (“hey, spyware’s made by Russians”). You know, it’s easier to find an enemy somewhere outside than realize that corporations which make spyware are your neighbours. Of course, similar things happen in Russia, but mostly on political topics.
I hope that the SPY ACT will finally stop spyware, so that Yahoo won’t publish articles with such provocative articles. (You can read about SPY ACT @ www.spywareinfo.com)

I’ve done a mini-interview with Jack Trout for my Russian marketing-related blog. I decided to publish it here too. If you don’t know who Jack is, you don’t know what “positioning” means.
Dmitry Chestnykh: What do you think about weblogs (blogs)?
Jack Trout: Like “letters to the editor” in newspapers, some are interesting. But most are of little value. If you're going to read, there are many books far better than blogs. I don't read blogs because they are not properly edited.
Dmitry Chestnykh: How do you think marketers can use the power of direct talk with customers via blogs?
Jack Trout: Maybe. But you have to organize them so that opinions represent a good cross-section of your market.
Dmitry Chestnykh: Do you think blogsphere will be a 'PR-medium of the 21st century'?
Jack Trout: Blogs that are perceived as “independent” might have some PR value. If not, they will lose credibility or third party validity.
Dmitry Chestnykh: Thank you very much for your answers! Keep up a good work.
