Update: The new version 1.2.43 has been released to address a bug that prevented 1.2.42 from working on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. Please download it. Sorry!

We are happy to announce the availability of the new version of Mémoires.

Release notes:

Default font selection in Preferences.
Better look in Leopard:
- The bottom of the main window looks like iCal’s.
- Left panel becomes gray when the main window is inactive.
- Improved journal icon (now full-size 512x512).
Faster startup.
Importing from the latest versions of MacJournal and Journler.
Fixed searching for license in selected message in Mail on Leopard.
Fixed warning messages in Console for updater.
Fixed memory leaks.
Corrected mistakes in the English help file.
Updated localizations.

This is a quick fix for embossing of days in calendar, as Mac OS X 10.5.2 update changed how shadows behaved in Cocoa.

Release notes

Fixed critical issue: if writing to disk fails when saving a decrypted journal, Mémoires removed the journal.
Fixed crash when opening the registration window.

We are happy to announce the availability of Mémoires 1.1 final release. The most requested feature was encryption of journals, so we implemented it.

1.1.35

Encryption for journals (AES-128).
Importer now reports the number of imported journals and entries.
Updated Sparkle (updater) framework.
Updated crash reporter UI.
Fixed crash.

1.1.36

Fixed double encryption of journals.
Fixed not updating highlighted dates (since 1.1.35).

1.1.37

Fixed not removing temporary files in some cases (since 1.1.35).
Changed directory for temporary files.
Fixed loading journal issue when saving encrypted journals for the first time.

1.1.38

Updated localizations.
Autofilling of registration values if purchase confirmation email is selected in Mail.

We’re happy to announce the availability of the final release of Mémoires 1.0.

Release Notes

GUI improvements.
Better Leopard compatibility.
Export panel “Save” button changed to “Export”.
Russian, Japanese and Traditional Chinese localizations.

Fixed: when current date changes, it now changes in Mémoires as well.

This is a quick fix for an issue, discovered by users.

Bug Fixes

Fixed not showing content when some entries had certain fonts.

We had to put this online as soon as possible, since the next two weeks we’ll be out of office: visiting Macedonia [I suspect it’s the best country for Mac lovers, since it has “Mac” in its name!] (Oct 11-18), and the ISDEF conference in Moscow region (Oct 18-22).
